There is no greater and there is no higher source of guidance than the creator of the universe. He is all wisdom, knowledge and understanding and He has our very best interests at heart.

A host of a T.V. talk show, from Toronto Canada, once stayed in our home. While looking out over the fields he noticed a huge flock of birds swooping down with absolute precision and landing, without colliding with each other in any way. Later Cal Bombay used this illustration, on the show, to emphasise the impression this had made on him. He related it to God's natural guidance system that has been given to the birds and that we have been given a guidance system through God's word and the leading of the Holy Spirit.

Multitudes of young people have had their precious lives ruined because of failure to trust entirely God's goodness. They thought God might deprive them of some thrill or experience which they considered more desirable than doing His will. This allowed their minds and emotions to rule and often without realising it, seeds of destruction were sown which speedily brought a harvest after its kind. (Galatians 6:7)

Proverbs 3:1-15 shows priceless treasures of truth promised to those who would let their heart keep God's word. Some of the inheritance mentioned is:

• Long life
  
• Peace
  
• Mercy and truth
  
• Favour and good understanding in the sight of God and man
  
• Divine Direction and Guidance
  
• Health and Prosperity
  
• Happiness through wisdom and understanding which cannot be compared with silver or fine gold or even all the things you desire.

All the guidelines set forth in His word are there because He loves us and wants to save our lives from disaster and give us joy unspeakable and full of glory. We will win every battle over Satan through trusting God's guidance. 1 Timothy 6:17 says "He giveth us richly all things to enjoy". God is not a kill joy. He is a joy giver but we must allow Him to guide us in His way if we are to have His best for our lives.
