Following my return from Africa last December I was waiting on the Lord in prayer early one morning when three words came suddenly to my heart. I quickly wrote them down and I trust you will be inspired and challenged as I was to reach out for good change in your life.

Mobilize: It is a call to make ready for service just as an army mobilizes troops for action. It reminds us of the need to train, equip and empower others to prepare for the greatest call of all, the reaching of our generation with God's great plan and destiny for their lives. It reminds us of potential in others to reach their God given goal and make a difference in their homes, communities and nations. It came in response to a heart cry within me for more prayer support as we intensify our labour in the harvest field of lost, hurting and broken humanity. It reminds us that we all need each others prayer, support and practical help in the fight of faith to fulfill the call of God.

Energize: It means to provide energy for an operation. When we mobilize the army of the Lord and see the big picture of God's great cause, it brings new life, energy and power to everyone involved just as strife and division drains us of energy so love, unity and faith brings strength (see Ephesians 3:16, Psalms 133.) God is our strength as we work together and remember we are all saved by the blood of Jesus, called to the same purpose, working with the same Lord and heading for the same heaven. (See 2 Corinthians 6:1, Exodus 17:11 and 12.)

Maximize: Our united influence will have maximum impact as we work together in God's great harvest field. Matthew 25:14-30 shows how we can use our talents and be good stewards of the wonderful opportunity we have for a very short time. Let's maximize our potential and work while it is day. In Genesis 37:24 we see how Joseph pushed through offence, unforgiveness and rejection of his own brothers so that he could be there for hurting multitudes in future years and bless them that had hurt him the most. God's love will enable us to maximize our influence for the kingdom of God and bring our families and our generation into the provision which is ours in Christ.
