DREAM CENTRE BELFAST

The Dream Centre is a fully functioning, multi faceted ministry, which reaches out to disadvantaged people groups as well as those who simply haven’t yet found their God-given purpose and calling. It emphasises social outreach as a means of demonstrating God’s unconditional love for humanity. It provides programmes for the homeless, the addicted and depressed, as well as those who are simply going through tough times due to adverse circumstances.

The first Dream Centre was formed in Los Angeles, California, and operates out of a 360,000 sq ft., former fourteen storey hospital, which is set on an 8.8 acre site just two miles from downtown Los Angeles. Dr Cecil Stewart visited the LA Dream Centre in early 2009, and was subsequently invited to join the Board. This in turn led to discussions with founders, Tommy and Matthew Barnett, regarding having a Dream Centre in Ireland - a vision which is currently being pursued and explored by teams in both Northern Ireland and the Republic.

Please pray that we will know God’s guidance and that He will lead us to the right people with the right expertise and resources to make this happen. We have recently completed an eight week ‘Active Listening’ course under the auspices of the Dream Centre and other courses and events are being planned. To inform and to help facilitate what others are doing in these areas we have launched a new website at http://dreamcentrebelfast.com/
Please submit information about what your church or fellowship, group, etc., are doing if you would like to be considered for inclusion on the site, particularly if what you’re doing is working well for you and might be a ‘model’ for others to follow. In any event, please visit the new website for the latest updates relating to a Dream Centre for Ireland.
